WHAT IS THE AIM?

The aim of studying music is different for each person who takes up an instrument. For all who study one aim should be Enjoyment.

Music Should Be Enjoyable to listen to, Music Should Be Enjoyable to study, and Music Should Be Enjoyable to perform.

PIANO LESSONS should be able to provide this Enjoyment by giving to each student Two Definite Goals.

SHORT RANGE GOAL: Learning and playing SONGS.

LONG RANGE GOAL: Increased awareness of how music works.

For many students these goals can be attained by studying with any teacher, using any system of teaching BUT experience has shown that the most common system of teaching works only for a small percentage of people who study the piano.

IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE SYSTEM?
